Job Overview

The Boiler Systems Technician will play a crucial role in the installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of boiler systems in various settings. This position encompasses both electrical and mechanical responsibilities, ensuring that all components function seamlessly.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel approximately 40% of the time; this is not a local or shop-based role.
  • Possess expertise in PLCs, transformers, transmitters, and other control systems.
  • Wire controls, sensors, and motors for both watertube and firetube boilers, along with auxiliary systems.
  • Construct and evaluate control panels and systems according to engineering schematics and blueprints.
  • Conduct field start-ups of boiler systems.
  • Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams accurately.
  • Maintain the condition and inventory of all tools and assigned components.
  • Utilize intellect, creativity, and sound judgment to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ensure that tasks and company projects are executed efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience with electrical and control systems.

Additional Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Capability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of control systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background is essential.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting systems without schematics.
  • Basic familiarity with PLCs.
  • Possession of a current valid driver's license.

This is a permanent position with a competitive pay rate based on experience and interview performance, ranging from $28 to $35.
