Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with opioid addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist patients in achieving their recovery goals
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with our medical team
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on coping strategies, crisis management, and relapse prevention
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in addiction treatment
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. counseling, psychology, social work)
  • Experience working with individuals struggling with addiction and substance abuse
  • Ability to obtain AAP credentials within 180 days of employment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
