  • Operate various lifting devices, such as forklifts, to move products, equipment, and materials around the yard.
  • Perform load-building duties, ensuring accurate weight, composition, and placement of loads for safe transportation.
  • Convey materials to and from storage areas using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Identify and report damaged materials.
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance and pre-trip inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with management, branch personnel, and customers.
  • Verify inventory against purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Assist in conducting cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.

Requirements:

  • One year of recent forklift/warehouse experience.
  • A safe work record and stable work history.
  • Ability to proficiently and safely use forklifts to transport products and load/unload trucks.
  • Ability to read and comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety materials, and other documents.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds using safe lifting techniques.
  • Knowledge of loading, unloading, and storage requirements.
