Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team at Lifespan. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of provider data in our credentialing database.

Responsibilities
  • Verify and update provider information in our credentialing database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Process and manage incoming requests for enrollment and re-credentialing, including reviewing and auditing provider documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with providers, medical staff offices, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Contribute to team efforts to improve processes and quality measures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum one to two years of experience in credentialing and/or privileging within a hospital or managed care environment.
  • Proven expertise in healthcare physician credentialing, expirables management, re-credentialing, and provider enrollment.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with ability to interact effectively with a variety of people.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of electronic credentialing systems a plus.
