Overview

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Vice President of Community Inclusion and Engagement is tasked with enhancing and advocating for Nhcchq's community involvement. This position will promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) within the organization and the communities we serve. Through collaboration with external stakeholders, this role will further Nhcchq's mission and strategic objectives.

Strategic Development & Implementation

Formulate and execute a detailed strategy for community involvement and DEIB initiatives that align with the organization's core mission and values. Champion diversity and inclusion within the workplace, ensuring a welcoming and equitable environment for all employees. The strategy will support Nhcchq's mission and values while fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging throughout the organization.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Community Relations

Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including employees and community organizations, to drive community initiatives and partnerships. This role will also coordinate community impact events that benefit employees, the organization, and the local community.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging

Lead the development and implementation of the DEIB strategy, focusing on enhancing employee engagement, cultivating a diverse workforce, and positively impacting community health. Collaborate with leadership to establish annual metrics and inspire team members across the organization to fulfill our commitments.

Community Board Engagement

Work with the executive leadership team to identify community boards that align with strategic priorities and offer career development opportunities for high-potential talent.

Reputation Management

In partnership with Strategic Communications, devise strategies and messaging that effectively communicate the organization's impact in DEIB and community engagement to target audiences.

Research & Best Practices

Stay updated on emerging trends, research, and best practices related to community engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the healthcare sector.

Leadership & Guidance

Provide leadership and direction to Nhcchq and its stakeholders, fostering a commitment to community engagement and DEIB. Oversee philanthropic efforts, including charitable contributions and employee volunteer programs, to support community causes aligned with organizational values.

Education, Training, & Development

Design and implement educational programs and training initiatives to enhance awareness and understanding of DEIB issues and best practices. Collaborate across all human resources functions to embed diverse education strategies, creating an inclusive employee experience.
