Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD Design Assistant to join our team at Subsurface Construction Company, LLC. As a key member of our estimating and engineering team, you will play a critical role in the preparation of in-house bid drawings, design sketches, plans, takeoffs, and estimates for potential projects involving soil nail walls, soldier pile walls, sheet pile walls, ground anchors, rock bolts, micro-piles, and other geotechnical construction methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review customer provided bid documents and filter appropriate information for use in creation of scope specific in-house bid drawings.
  • Assist in the preparation of in-house bid drawings, design sketches, plans, takeoffs, and estimates for potential projects.
  • Collaborate with our estimating and engineering teams to analyze project documents to determine the feasibility and worthiness of pursuing new projects and the best construction approach for projects we decide to pursue.
  • Identify potential engineering and construction related issues and report to the estimating team.
  • Conduct research on project requirements, site conditions, and material specifications to support bid proposals.
  • Maintain and organize project documents, ensuring all information is up to date.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of CSI system, engineered construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing assigned work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of assigned work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD LT is required.
