Overview: A prominent client is in search of a Facilities Technician to enhance their operations system team. This role is integral to collaborating with a team of dedicated engineers and innovators within the data center sector.

Role Responsibilities: The Facilities Reliability Group (FRG) Technician will play a crucial role in shaping the customer experience. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the FRG team in designing solutions for intricate challenges.
  • Managing external contractors and being available for emergency situations.
  • Handling multiple projects and daily tasks while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Developing and executing plans to achieve departmental objectives.

Key Functions: The FRG Technician will be tasked with:

  • Continuous remote monitoring of site conditions and responding to alarms and incident alerts.
  • Providing both reactive and proactive support to operational facilities teams.
  • Assisting in the strategic direction of facilities operations while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Participating in a 24/7/365 team to oversee incident response and management.
  • Engaging in incident investigations to determine root causes of failures.
  • Identifying opportunities for enhancing quality, customer service, and cost efficiency.
  • Creating reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Facilitating the rollout and training of standard tools and processes.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Managing multiple project deliverables and navigating complex situations.
  • Prioritizing tasks and managing resources effectively under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma is mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts within a 24/7/365 operational framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Understanding of engineering documentation and electrical schematics.
  • Multilingual capabilities, particularly in Japanese, are advantageous.

Experience and Education:

  • Preferred experience of three to five years in a data center environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering fields is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced atmosphere.
