Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily instruction to assigned students, preparing and implementing lesson plans that incorporate Ohio Department of Education content standards and other relevant materials.
  • Supervise students, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment, and evaluating student progress through various assessments and observations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, documenting all interactions and maintaining accurate records as required by law and district policy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide targeted interventions to support student success.
  • Requisition necessary supplies, curriculum, and equipment to support instructional activities.
  • Maintain certification and licensure requirements, adhering to professional standards and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills, staying current with best practices in education and student support.
Requirements
  • Valid Ohio Certification/Licensure
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to maneuver stairs unassisted
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's Degree
