Job Summary

Motor City Seafood Company is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Detroit. As a growing statewide company, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products to our customers while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability and food safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Onboarding: Set up new customers on terms based on credit references and monitor accounts daily to ensure timely payments.
  • Collection Activities: Proactively follow up with customers on outstanding accounts receivables, communicate with customers to manage the collection process, and work to minimize past due balances.
  • Account Management: Work with the Sales team to set up and manage customer accounts, resolve customer billing issues, and provide timely reporting to the financial team.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in accounts receivable and collections.
  • Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Excel.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Environment

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work on-site at our production facility in Highland Park, Michigan.
