About the Role

In this Infrastructure Assistant Surveyor - Field Operations position at RNGD, you will play a critical role in supporting the Surveyor and ensuring the success of our construction projects. You will be responsible for coordinating surveying activities, assessing worksite conditions, and maintaining surveying equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Survey Coordination: Coordinate surveying activities to ensure accurate and efficient data collection.
  • Worksites Assessment: Assess worksite conditions to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Survey Equipment Maintenance: Assemble, disassemble, check, use, adjust, and maintain surveying instruments and equipment.
  • Geodetic Measurements: Assist with establishing baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements for ground surveys.
  • Data Collection: Conduct survey layouts and collect related data.
  • Level Loop Installation: Assist the Surveyor with the installation of level loops and conducting traverses.
  • Data Verification: Assist with verifying the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain various forms documentation, including reports and daily logs of all fieldwork.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-3 years of work experience related to construction surveying or civil construction.
  • Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) or certification from a trade school.
  • Math Skills: Math skills, including the ability to add and subtract lengths, change from one unit of measurement to another, and measure distances, angles, and directions.
  • Computer Software: Experience working with various computer software programs, including Trimble (SCS900/Siteworks), MS Office Suite, and ProCore, or similar programs.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to carry up to 50lbs of equipment and supplies throughout the day, even in inclement weather.
