Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote position based in the U.S. or Canada, offering a competitive salary of $160,000 per year, complemented by a Bonus and Stock Option Plan, as well as comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, and Retirement Plan.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain our data science and analytics infrastructure, tools, and best practices.
  • Analyze large, complex data sets to uncover hidden patterns, market trends, and customer preferences.
  • Create customer-facing data and analytics visualization tools using Tableau and MetaBase.
  • Develop predictive models and machine-learning algorithms to forecast sales and assist with marketing needs using Google BigQuery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable business strategies via internal dashboards and memos.
  • Presentation skills are essential to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science and retail analytics.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in data science, preferably in the retail or e-commerce sector.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining data models.
  • Strong expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including SQL, Python.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
