Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Technologist PRN to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound exams, including venous and arterial duplex protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess upper and lower extremity venous anatomy, including collateral pathways in the presence of disease.
  • Perform upper and lower extremity venous duplex protocols for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) diagnosis.
  • Identify and assess extra-cranial and intracranial anatomy, including carotid duplex exam protocols.
  • Perform upper and lower extremity arterial flow exams, including complex measurement and Doppler programs.
  • Consistently produce high-quality scans of patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics, effectively organizing and prioritizing workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands.
  • Assist physicians with invasive exams and procedures in the operating room.
  • Complete required documentation on forms, logs, and in the electronic medical record.
  • Follow patient care and safety policies and procedures, adhering to HCA/St. David's HealthCare's Patient's First Initiatives.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or equivalent.
  • Certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of vascular ultrasound.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
