About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Auto Claims Manager to lead our Property Damage Claims unit(s) and drive business growth. As a seasoned professional, you will oversee a team of adjusters, ensuring compliance with state-mandated claims handling guidelines, conducting thorough investigations, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the Auto Claims Unit, promoting a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Monitor adjusters' work through file and diary reviews, ensuring accurate documentation, fair claims settlements, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Authorize claim settlements based on thorough investigations and expert judgment.
  • Analyze reports to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance claim settlements and customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Identify training needs and design training programs to enhance team performance and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address concerns and drive business growth.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for handling claims, minimizing losses and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the administrative side of the unit, including case assignment, talent selection, performance goal setting, and reporting.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of auto liability claims experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Comparable auto property damage experience or non-standard claims experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing personal auto files.
  • Strong technical and administrative background in auto claims handling.
  • Ability to work independently, making technical and administrative decisions in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, training, and development skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
