Key Responsibilities:
The successful Payroll Specialist will be responsible for efficiently processing payroll for a dynamic and growing organization. This includes:

  • Inputting and maintaining employee payroll records in SAP, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Processing manual, non-standard, or correction transactions, cross-checking input, auditing, and reconciling output, and researching discrepancies.
  • Establishing and maintaining a productive relationship with division contacts and internal staff in payroll, HR, benefits, and accounting, while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Rotating duties, funding requests, report updates, and cross-training.
  • Providing support for departmental special projects and process improvement.
  • Understanding payroll internal controls and helping to assess payroll and human resource compliance.
  • Scheduling and processing bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll jobs, as well as subsequent activities.
  • Reconciling and balancing labor-related costs.
  • Preparing intercompany cross charges, monthly journal entries, and reconciling assigned general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
  • Preparing monthly and year-end payroll calendars.
  • Identifying, researching, and resolving data errors, understanding, and communicating their impact to others.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess:

  • Prior experience with automated payroll processing, with SAP experience desired but not required.
  • The ability to work within flexible priorities and sometimes short deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented skills, utilizing tools like Excel and visual tools such as Tableau.

Education:
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPP Certification desired.

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,500-$98,300 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including:
