About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Faster Payments Technology Manager to lead our team in delivering innovative payment solutions. As a key member of our Commercial Technology and Innovation organization, you will be responsible for managing the Faster Payments Technology Function, including Real Time Payments and FedNow Payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Faster Payments Technology Function: Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of payment systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients and the bank's strategic objectives.
  • Manage Third-Party Solution Providers: Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of third-party software-as-a-service, managed service, and commercial-off-the-shelf solutions.
  • Integrate Real Time Payments and FedNow Payments: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate these payment solutions, ensuring seamless execution and optimal results.
  • Develop and Implement IS Project Methodology Guidelines: Establish and enforce project management standards, ensuring successful project delivery and adherence to bank security and quality standards.
  • Participate in Vendor Evaluations: Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and recommend vendors, ensuring the best solutions for the bank's needs.
  • Manage Budget and Resources: Plan, develop, and control assigned organization and budget functions, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Represent the Bank: Participate in outside civic and community affairs, business and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities, promoting the bank's interests and reputation.
  • Foster a Team Environment: Provide strong mentoring skills, interdepartmental communications, and facilitate the creation of a team environment, promoting collaboration and innovation.
  • Comply with Bank Policies and Procedures: Ensure full compliance with all bank operational and credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of management experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Services/Technology
  • Excellent knowledge of data processing technology, especially in banking and financial systems
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of functions in assigned department
  • Thorough knowledge of bank policies and procedures
  • Excellent analytical, project management, tactical planning, and managerial skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
