About the Role:

The Acute Care Therapy Team at UNC-Hospitals in Hillsborough, NC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As an Acute Care OT, you will work closely with a team of experienced therapists to provide therapy services to a variety of acute care patient populations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Complete OT documentation in the medical record per department guidelines and complete department records for billing and statistics.
  2. Manage OT caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
  3. Manage resources needed to perform OT treatment plan to accomplish the goals set for the patient.
  4. Plan and coordinate clinical programs in response to patient needs, technologies, clinical practices, regulations, and reimbursement.
  5. Provide regular communication with physicians, supervisor, and others regarding OT programs and patients served.
  6. Select and perform appropriate Occupational Therapy (OT) evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems. Set treatment goals and devise a treatment plan. Re-evaluate and adjust the treatment plan in response to the patient's changing condition and discharge plans.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
  • No prior experience required.
