The Role

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Accounting Specialist to support our commissions accounting function. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and a high level of organization and attention to detail. The position duties would include the processing of our agency partner's commissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable Management
    • Posting cash transactions, including cash entry, reconciliation, balancing, and posting
  • Customer Service
    • Providing exceptional customer service to our agents and customers
  • Invoice Processing
    • Entering and posting invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Payables Processing
    • Balancing and processing payables to issue commission checks to our retail agents
  • Software Proficiency
    • Learning and utilizing various software programs specific to the insurance industry
  • Research and Analysis
    • Conducting research to locate information internally or for other offices
  • Logistical Support
    • Logging incoming payments into Excel

Requirements

  • Accounting Knowledge
    • Sufficient knowledge of accounting principles

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

    • At least 3 years previous accounting experience or accounting degree
