Role Objective:

  • Facilitate the credentialing of healthcare practitioners for network inclusion. Ensure provider information is accurate and compliant.

Core Responsibilities:

  • 40% Evaluate applications for network inclusion and secure necessary contracts.
  • 30% Address inquiries regarding provider eligibility and status.
  • 15% Maintain accurate provider documentation throughout the credentialing process.
  • 10% Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in provider files.
  • 5% Draft formal written communications as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years in credentialing or insurance operations
    • Experience in customer service roles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Skilled in utilizing reference materials
  • Understanding of relevant legal standards

Certifications:

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is preferred
