We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Clinical Nurse to join our team at Wellstar Health System. As a WOCN, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive patient care to individuals with select disorders of the GI, GU, and Integumentary systems.
Responsibilities:- Provide acute and rehabilitative care to patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and continence issues.
- Serve as a resource to nursing and medical staff, providing expert guidance and support in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care that address wounds, fistulas, ostomies, and continence issues at the specialist level.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, quality patient care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to wound, ostomy, and continence care.
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing with a BSN degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care setting.
- National certification in clinical specialty area (WOCN) preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English language.
