Job Summary:
Kaiser Permanente's nursing model prioritizes patient-centered care. As a Licensed Practical Nurse I (LPN I), you will provide direct and indirect care to patients and families, promoting health and wellness while preventing illness and injury. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician to ensure high-quality care that meets defined standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for office visits by reviewing their history, collecting relevant clinical information, and documenting in the medical record.
Complete Point of Entry (POE) and address care gaps during patient encounters.
Prepare rooms and equipment for procedures and assist practitioners as needed.
Initiate interventions and document responses to treatment according to established workflows and guidelines.
Participate in emergency care as directed by practitioners or registered nurses.
Educate patients and provide preparation materials for diagnostic studies according to guidelines.
Schedule appointments for patients with lab, radiology, or specialty consultations as ordered by practitioners.
Monitor electronic messaging and emails related to patient or provider requests and manage messages within your scope of practice.

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing (LPN/LVN) program.
Practical Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.
Complete a Customer Service Assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum six (6) months of healthcare experience preferred.
Customer service aptitude demonstrated through Customer Service Assessment.

Notes:
Cross training required to support Family Practice
