The University of Cincinnati Department of Neurosurgery is a leading academic institution in the field of neurosurgery, renowned for its cutting-edge research and innovative clinical practices. As a Clinical Instructor in the Neurotrauma Fellowship program, you will have the opportunity to work alongside world-class faculty and staff to develop and implement advanced neurotrauma care protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in the field of neurotrauma, including inpatient and outpatient services.
- Precept medical students and residents, and participate in the development of academic curricula.
- Act as a liaison between residents and attending physicians at affiliated hospitals.
- Supervise clinical duties, administrative functions, and other activities as determined by the program director and senior faculty.
- Coordinate and triage outside admissions to affiliated medical teams.
- Serve as on-call physician for affiliated hospitals and medical services.
- Mentor residents as they progress through training.
- Develop and maintain academic curricula, including conferences and educational programs.
- Participate in hospital and medical school committees as appropriate.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree.
- Unrestricted Ohio medical license.
- ABNS Board certification or board eligibility.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency training program in neurological surgery.
