Job Overview:

This position plays a vital role in providing clinical care and collaborating with healthcare team members to meet patient needs. As an LPN, you will assist physicians and registered nurses in delivering high-quality patient care, while also implementing the plan of care and contributing to patient evaluations.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to patients in accordance with law, professional standards, and organizational policy.
  • Interpret and execute physician orders accurately, while documenting medications in a timely manner.
  • Perform technical skills according to hospital policies and procedures, as well as accepted standards of practice.
  • Determine supply needs for the nursing department and order necessary supplies.
Demonstrates Organizational Responsibilities:

Identify areas for self-improvement, cooperate with clinical instructors to facilitate effective learning experiences for nursing students, maintain current knowledge in area of practice, and demonstrate knowledge of organizational and unit changes.

Coordinate monthly turnover regarding medication administration records, participate in monthly review of MARS, and develop MARs for new patients as indicated.

Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and use of hands. The ability to lift 50+ pounds is also necessary. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
