Job Summary:

As a Financial Services Consultant at LeadCar Toyota Wausau, you will play a crucial role in producing additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to new and used vehicle customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide customers with thorough explanations of aftermarket products and extended warranties.
  • Convert cash deals to finance.
  • Process finance and lease deals accurately and fairly through financial sources to secure approval.
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Process all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transactions.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new- and used-vehicle and finance departments.
  • Complete paperwork necessary for vehicle sales and leases in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Check all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc., before forwarding to accounting.
  • Provide customers with complete explanations of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
  • Set up and maintain a program to ensure 100% turnover to the F&I department.
  • Provide sales force and sales managers with current information about finance and lease programs continually.
  • Work with sales managers to secure a reasonable profit from every sale.
  • Ensure collection of all finance and insurance fees.
  • Take credit applications directly from customers as needed.
  • Attend sales staff and managers meetings.
  • Handle all rate quotations.
  • Develop and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an adequate and current supply of all required contracts and paperwork needed for completion and finalization of car deals.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
Requirements:
  • Previous F&I automotive experience or two years of sales experience preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments.
  • Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Must have knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Must have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Must utilize effective time management skills.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must have a professional appearance and manner.
  • Must have the ability to establish productive, cooperative relationships with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • A sales license must be maintained.
  • An insurance license must be maintained.
  • Manufacturer certification must be maintained at the minimum level.
  • A valid driver's license must be maintained.
