After School Program Site Supervisor

Job DescriptionThis role is ideal for someone who loves working with kids and creating a fun, enriching environment. As a Site Supervisor for our new after-school program at Fairgrieve Elementary and Lanigan Elementary, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and engaging experience for students, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of our program site.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Create a positive and inclusive environment for students
- Oversee daily activities, including homework help, enrichment programs, and social time
- Supervise staff and ensure they provide quality care
- Maintain a safe and clean program space
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and program administration
You will also be responsible for:
- Ensuring quality provision of services and activities
- Assessing physical and emotional well-being of participants, addressing issues to ensure health and safety; identifying needs and providing referrals/linkages to other services
- Establishing and conveying program limits and boundaries in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Assuring the provision of consistent, non-judgmental services using a youth development approach
- Managing youth enrollment and parent engagement
- Planning and leading daily activities, groups, and recreational activities for youth
- Ensuring the maintenance of records for program activities, youth files, and preparing reports as assigned
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field
- 1-3 years direct experience working with youth, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
- Fun, energetic personality with a passion for learning
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $45,000 per year, plus benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid leave, a 403B Deferred Annuity Retirement Plan, term life insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program.
