Transplant Program Manager

Job Summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transplant Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Transplant Center. This individual will be responsible for providing clinical guidance to staff, developing and implementing clinical pathway guidelines, and evaluating outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical guidance to staff to ensure consistent practices and excellent quality care
  • Develop and implement clinical pathway guidelines to improve patient outcomes
  • Evaluate outcomes and make data-driven decisions to improve program performance
  • Supervise and coordinate staff development to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Assist with departmental orientation and training to ensure new staff members are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited school of nursing within two years of hire
  • Minimum of five years of RN nursing work experience, with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Current South Carolina licensure or compact state required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of transplant programs, organ allocation, and transplant-related policies
  • At least three years of transplant-related experience

The Transplant Program Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of healthcare professionals. The individual must be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and effectively, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
