Instructional Designer

Duration: 3+ Months
OPEN TO LOCAL AND NON-LOCAL CANDIDATES. ASSIGNMENT IS 100% REMOTE.
Client laptop approved to be issued for this assignment if chosen candidate is outside of client service territory. Any additional equipment needed will need to be provided by respective supplier. If PPE will be required during assignment, client will provide. Personal phone is required with no expense reimbursement. If there might be travel, additional expenses will be covered with manager prior approval.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define learning objectives, course structure, and assessments.
- Conduct detailed analysis of content and tasks, aligning them with audience needs and business processes.
- Create project plans and track budget as necessary.
- Develop learning materials adhering to company standards, including presentations, guides, activities, and assessments.
- Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts through meetings and content reviews.
- Incorporate feedback and manage tasks and deadlines independently.
- Communicate issues and risks proactively to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years' experience developing instructor-led, eLearning, or virtual training in a technical environment preferably in a utility industry.
- Proficiency in technical writing.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
- Familiarity with Excel.
- Prioritize work of multiple projects; work under pressure while remaining flexible.
