Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Trainer to join our team at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. As a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop training programs that meet the needs of our employees and align with the laboratory's goals and objectives.
  • Deliver training sessions to groups of varying sizes and skill levels, using a variety of instructional methods and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, and evaluation tools.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure that training programs are accurate, relevant, and effective.
  • Assess and analyze training effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in training and development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on adult learning and instructional design.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programs that meet the needs of diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and analyze training effectiveness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as education, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Experience with adult learning theory and instructional design models, such as ADDIE.
  • Knowledge of training technologies, such as learning management systems and authoring tools.
  • Experience with evaluating and improving training programs.
