This position provides technical support of Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control. The job duties include design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, special tooling, and equipment. The role requires the ability to interpret engineering requirements, conduct detailed failure analysis, and demonstrate mechanical hands-on abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and special tooling and equipment.
- Interpret engineering requirements from product data drawings, parts lists, specifications, and schematics.
- Conduct detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Demonstrate mechanical hands-on abilities to perform or assist in missile assembly and test, and repair non-operating tools and equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline, and 5+ years of production engineering experience, or 3+ years of production engineering experience with a related Master's degree.
- Knowledgeable of General Manufacturing Processes with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience interpreting engineering requirements from product data models, drawings, parts lists, and specifications.
- Experience conducting detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of mechanical hands-on abilities to perform or assist in missile assembly and test, and repair non-operating tools and equipment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Working knowledge and experience of manufacturing mechanical assembly processes, electronic testing methods, factory automation equipment, industrial safety processes, technical writing, and teaming.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Understanding of basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) references.
- Creation and maintenance of Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and drawings.
- Strong hands-on assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting skills of mechanical, electrical, industrial, and/or home equipment and products.
- Familiarity with manufacturing software DELMIA Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools in a manufacturing environment.
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
