Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager to provide technical leadership of the Production Engineering team in the LRSS AUR facilities. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Technical Manager of Pike County Operations and be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of factory production equipment, manufacturing processes, special tooling, sequence of operations, engineering floor support, and production testing.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 7 years of manufacturing experience in assembly, integration, and test operations. They must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist the candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Manufacturing Engineer supervision, employee recruitment, selection, and training, performance assessment, and assignment of engineering tasks. They will also ensure that all manufacturing operations are in compliance with company command media, engineering requirements, and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of factory production equipment, manufacturing processes, special tooling, sequence of operations, engineering floor support, and production testing.
  • Provide Manufacturing Engineer supervision, employee recruitment, selection, and training, performance assessment, and assignment of engineering tasks.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing operations are in compliance with company command media, engineering requirements, and government regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • 7 years of manufacturing experience in assembly, integration, and test operations.
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with exceptional written and verbal communications and excellent interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced education with manufacturing experience in ordnance assembly, integration, and test operations.
  • Experience working with multi-functional teams including members from Quality Assurance, ESH and Ordnance Safety, Facilities Engineering, Production Control & Transportation, Project Engineering and Management, and U.S. Government Customer Representatives.
  • LM Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification.
  • Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LM-MFC) production data systems (MES-CAPP, Apriso, SAP), test equipment, and tooling hardware and document control.
