K-12 Virtual Sign Language Interpreter Position in Virginia

We are seeking a qualified K-12 Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year.
Estimated Salary Range$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will provide high-quality sign language interpretation services in virtual classrooms, facilitating communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their teachers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in American Sign Language (ASL) and previous experience working with K-12 students.
This is a full-time or part-time position, offering flexibility to accommodate your schedule.
Requirements- Certification: 3.5-4.0 EIPA or RID, ESSE-I/R assessment, or NAD/ACCI assessment required.
- Licensing: Active Virginia State SLI License necessary.
- Experience: Previous school experience required; virtual interpreting experience highly preferred.
- Initial Screening: A brief call with one of our recruiters to discuss your qualifications and experience.
- Tech Evaluation: A technical screening to assess your equipment and software capabilities.
- Virtual Interview: A more in-depth conversation with our hiring manager to further discuss your qualifications and fit for the role.
