Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with national and local fire codes.
  • Perform regular tests and inspections to ensure all systems and components are functioning properly.
  • Provide expert consultation on the design and implementation of fire alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with fire alarm systems, including wiring, sensors, and control panels.
  • Work closely with construction teams to coordinate the installation of fire alarm systems in new buildings or during renovations.
  • Train staff on the proper use and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on the status of fire alarm systems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Proficiency in conduit bending.
  • Strong understanding of national and local fire codes and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a variety of environmental conditions.
  • Certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Fire Alarm Systems Level II or higher is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license.
