Veterinary Front Desk Associate

The Veterinary Receptionist is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional client service and support to our veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members. This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities- Greets clients and pets by name, providing a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
- Answers phones promptly and professionally, using a multi-line phone system to route calls to appropriate staff.
- Schedules appointments and surgeries, making confirmation calls as needed.
- Enters accurate charges and explains invoices to clients, ensuring they understand the services and products provided.
- Collects payment from clients, processing credit cards and handling cash transactions.
- Verifies client eligibility for charge accounts and checks medical records for accuracy.
- Fills prescriptions and provides routine administration instructions to clients.
- Advises clients on flea/tick preventatives, heartworm preventatives, and other retail items.
- Demonstrated commitment to our core values.
- Computer knowledge, including keyboarding and use of communication tools.
- Working knowledge of veterinary terminology.
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills.
- Ability to handle varied and sometimes difficult situations, with tact and respect for clients and staff.
