Position Overview:
This full-time role requires a dedicated professional who is quick to learn and adept at managing a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism and courtesy when interacting with patients, medical staff, and referring physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct CT and X-Ray examinations, ensuring patient preparation and protocol selection.
2. Verify patient identity and confirm physician orders prior to performing any imaging procedures.
3. Gather comprehensive medical histories to assist radiologists in making informed diagnostic decisions.
4. Complete necessary documentation and computer tasks to streamline patient flow and ensure accurate exam completion.
5. Adhere to established safety standards, policies, and quality assurance programs.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to identify and rectify hazardous conditions.
- Proficient in the use of medical imaging equipment and instruments.
- Strong communication skills to maintain effective collaboration with radiologists and other departments.
- Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.
Preferred Experience:
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Multi-modality experience is advantageous.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current ARRT/Radiologic Technologist License is mandatory.
