Job Title: Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, communicating with patients, and ensuring the quality of radiographs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Competently perform basic to advanced radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, general fluoroscopy, and c-arm procedures.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, providing patient radiation protection and safety.
  • Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist, communicate, and consult with physicians, working independently outside the department with providers.
  • Prepare and maintain records, entering patient and study information into the radiology information system, and document billing codes for procedures performed.
  • Serve as a technical resource, role model, and/or preceptor for students and staff, acting as a resource to staff at own facility and throughout the system.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 6 months.
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
Working Conditions:

The Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and staff. The position requires standing, walking, lifting, and pushing/pulling, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
