Salary:
BBJ Group is an expanding environmental consulting and engineering firm looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant for its Nashville Branch. The primary role involves assisting clients with diverse environmental engineering and consulting requirements while nurturing new business prospects and maintaining existing client relationships. This position provides ample opportunities and responsibilities for a meticulous environmental professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of projects, personnel, and budgets;
  • Guiding junior project managers and staff consultants to effectively oversee projects from both technical and managerial perspectives;
  • Collaborating with clients across various sectors, including renowned global corporations;
  • Engagement in both domestic and international project sites.

Types of Projects:

At BBJ Group, we cater to both private and public sector clients at project sites throughout the United States and internationally. Senior consultants will focus on Remediation, EHS/Regulatory Compliance, or Real Estate Transaction Support Practices:

  • Air quality permitting and compliance;
  • Stormwater pollution prevention and management;
  • Spill prevention and regulatory compliance;
  • Hazardous waste management;
  • Environmental site investigation and remediation;
  • Closure assessments utilizing statistical, modeling, and graphical tools;
  • Design and implementation of remedial systems;
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety audits.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of eight years of consulting experience managing advanced projects in the relevant practice area;
  • Master's degree in geology, environmental engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or a related field preferred;
  • Professional Certification (PE/PG/CHMM/CSP) is advantageous;
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently;
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills, along with analytical, organizational, and time management abilities;
  • Willingness to travel (25%) and possess a valid driver's license;
  • OSHA HAZWOPER training;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS is a plus.
