Job Title: Cashier for Special Events at Florida Atlantic University
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with exceptional communication skills and a positive, upbeat personality to fill our openings for Cashiers during the upcoming Football season and other events at F.A.U.
Cashiers are responsible for taking customer payments, making changes, and giving receipts. Depending on the location, they are responsible for operating a computer terminal or cash register. Daily Station Reports are required which may include the incorporation of reports from the parking management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with guests
- Deal with money
- Complete DSR (daily station reports)
- Hand out tickets (self parking)
- Post tickets (self parking/valet)
- Answer the telephone from guests
- Request cars for guests
Confirmed Events:
FAU games
- September 7th
- September 14th
- September 28th
- October 12th
- November 1st
- November 23rd
- December 6th
- December 17th
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Above average mathematical skills
- Ability to balance paperwork
- Prior experience as a cashier is preferred
- Prior experience working in the hospitality industry is preferred
- Must be able to speak, read, and write Standard English
- Pass a pre-employment background check, including criminal background check
