Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join our team at Princeton Community Hospital Association, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a registered nurse to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize patient care, diagnose, and manage patient problems and issues, and set mutual goals to meet the needs of the patient and healthcare team.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, serving as a resource for learning needs.
  • Coordinate with the interprofessional team to manage changing priorities and ensure safe, quality care for consumers/patients.
  • Function as an independent team member, providing safe, quality care for consumers/patients, and mentoring colleagues in the acquisition of clinical knowledge, skills, abilities, and judgment.
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of systems that support the patient care planning process, and lead interprofessional teams to collaborate and consult effectively.
  • Design innovations to improve outcomes, assist other nurses to develop research skills, and participate in collaborative planning to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered healthcare.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and review of policies that promote patient health and safety, and advocate for healthcare consumers' rights to inform decision making and self-determination.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills within the community/healthcare arena, engage the healthcare consumer and other interprofessional team members in holistic, culturally sensitive data collection, and integrate knowledge from global and environmental factors into the assessment process.
  • Identify resources/actions to appropriately address cultural situations, recognize personal bias, disseminate educational findings, experiences with colleagues, and achieve higher levels of education/training, demonstrating commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Identify appropriate resources for ethical dilemmas and advance ethical nursing practice, and maintain current licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses or appropriate state board.
Requirements
  • ADN, Diploma, BSN, or higher degree
  • Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses or appropriate state board
  • Two years of nursing experience
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
