Senior Mechanical HVAC Specialist


Aversan Inc is a distinguished Engineering Firm that specializes in Systems Integration and Software Testing across various sectors, including Digital Health, Medical Devices, IT, and Aerospace.

We are currently in search of a skilled Senior Mechanical HVAC Specialist to contribute to innovative construction solutions.

The ideal candidate for this full-time role will thrive in a dynamic and technically advanced environment that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration.

Role Overview:
A HVAC and plumbing engineer eager to engage with a wide range of building designs.

Under general guidance, the individual will be capable of executing all facets of conventional design engineering, analysis, and assessments on both new and existing structures.

The Mechanical Buildings Design Group is dedicated to providing HVAC and plumbing solutions for global projects.

The Mechanical Engineer role encompasses the engineering and design of HVAC and plumbing systems across various facility types.

Key Responsibilities:

The HVAC Team is involved in:
Design and Construction Activities

Project Delivery Methods - Traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build.

Facility Types – Power Generation buildings, Substations, Oil & Gas structures, Water Treatment, and Energy Storage facilities.

Systems – HVAC and Plumbing.


Types of Areas – Power Generation Hall, Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, Pump Areas, Engine Generator, Blowers/Air Compressors, Wastewater treatment facilities, and Flammable & Combustible Liquids Storage.


Studies:
Energy Audit/Efficiency - Engineering studies, system performance evaluations, and energy compliance calculations.

Code Review/Application - Facility assessment for code compliance.

Sustainable Design/LEED - Implementation of sustainable strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

Associate degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Typically, a minimum of 11 years related work experience.

Required Skills:

International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes

ASHRAE Handbooks / Standards

ASPE design handbooks

SMACNA Standards

NFPA standards

Proficiency in computer-generated HVAC Headloads, energy modeling, and HVAC equipment sizing.

Experience with the technical submittal review process and bid evaluation.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Revit 3D Modeling.

The candidate should be a LEED AP certified professional with experience in obtaining LEED certification for industrial facilities.

Extensive experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers is preferred.

PE License is preferred.
