Associate Distribution Line Engineer

Leidos is seeking an experienced Associate Distribution Line Engineer to join our team in New Hampshire. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services group, you will be responsible for designing and developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system.
Key Responsibilities- Develop construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards.
- Perform engineering calculations, including structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker, and coordination of protective devices.
- Prepare forestry trimming requests, facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, develop a Bill of Materials (BOM), estimate costs, and provide customer advocacy.
- Travel to various project locations to conduct field investigations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (EE or CE preferred) or Master's degree in a related field.
- 0+ years of prior relevant experience in design engineering, preferably with an electric utility or consulting company.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and walk up to 2 miles on unpaved surfaces.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
- Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
- Familiarity with PoleForeman, SAP, Microstation.
- Fundamentals of Engineer Certifications.
