Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our High Speed Cable Engineering team at Amphenol High Speed Products Group. The successful candidate will support product design, providing mechanical engineering support to the design, development, and selection of basic hardware components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design specific elements of High-Speed IO Interconnect and Cable devices or components to meet specified design requirements
  • Provide direction to drafting group to assist in the creation of products
  • Prepare document reports, generate, and review the technical content of drawings, engineering specifications, reports, and other documentation associated with mechanical design
  • Support Continuous Improvement
  • Lead sustainment efforts on assigned product lines
  • Manage material issues, perform root cause assessments of discovered issues

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
  • 0- 3 years of electromechanical product design/support experience
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • Grasp of basic electrical theory
  • Ability to support design and development of hardware to ensure requirements compliance
