The Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) play a crucial role in delivering a variety of services aimed at supporting our residents' daily living activities under the guidance of a Nurse. The CNA is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating courtesy, dignity, and respect in all responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transferring, and other designated care.
- Assist residents during meal times.
- Perform homemaking tasks as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health status, along with any recommendations for adjustments to their care plans.
- Maintain thorough daily documentation.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to uphold The Waters Way.
Qualifications:
- Current certification or registration as a nursing assistant (CNA).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory.
- One year of experience in nursing or resident assistant care within senior services is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and follow verbal instructions in English.
- Familiarity with the Home Care Bill of Rights as it pertains to the CNA role.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic health record systems.
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to hospitality, service, and excellence in senior care.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
