Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to join our team at Walmart Connect. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for shaping the first line of defense for our business, helping to drive organizational growth, and building risk mitigation programs.

About the Role

The Operations Manager will work closely with the Director, Business Operations - Audit & Controls, to identify and prioritize risks, determine whether those risks are adequately mitigated, and act as remediation stewards ensuring that the solutions we recommend address root causes sustainably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Think creatively and strategically to develop inventive and sustainable solutions for big problems and opportunities.
  • Build relationships and influence without authority, aligning stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Consistently apply data analytics approaches to drive efficiencies, assess and monitor risks, develop process reviews, build, and analyze hypotheses to solve complex business problems or assess processes and controls in an audit context, and recommend action plans.
  • Identify technical IT/business risks and compliance gaps, assess their impact, recommend appropriate solutions, and drive implementation thereof.
  • Communicate with several different teams including product, legal, engineering, and other areas within Walmart, with the ability to translate technical aspects into business language.
  • Effectively leading by example, communicating risks, and influencing and enabling stakeholders to effectively mitigate those risks.
  • Looking at day-to-day operations through a holistic lens, one that effectively positions you as an informed partner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, engineering, or accounting required.
  • 5+ years of experience required.
  • Big 4 accounting or consulting firm experience.
  • Digital advertising or media experience.
  • Structure and use frameworks to break down complex problems into clear steps and plans.
  • Business process savvy, including an understanding of business processes, how systems support these processes, and the related risks that impact financial reporting.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accountability, proven ability to take ownership.
