Clinical Nurse Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Parkridge Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
About the RoleThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
- Collaborating with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures.
- Serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
- Assisting with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participating in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Supporting the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Providing recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Recommending and implementing courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assisting with staff scheduling and managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Supporting proper inventory control and assisting with managing supplies and equipment.
Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital located near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services, including cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. Our facility includes a state-of-the-art neurosurgery program, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
