Medical Office Assistant Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Randstad US. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient office flow
- Answer and direct phone calls, addressing patient inquiries or concerns
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
- Assist in patient check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying insurance information
- Collect co-payments and process billing paperwork
- Prepare examination rooms and assist with basic patient care as needed
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of patient care
- Order and manage office supplies and medical inventory
- Handle faxing, scanning, and filing of medical documents
- Assist in managing insurance claims, authorizations, and referrals
- Ensure compliance with medical office policies, procedures, and regulations
