Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support the delivery of high-quality services to PreK and elementary aged students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will work collaboratively with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and other educational professionals to implement therapy plans and activities tailored to the needs of students with ASD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist SLPs in the development and implementation of therapy plans and activities to support communication, language, and social skills development in students with ASD.
  • Conduct individual and group sessions to support the communication, language, and social skills development of students with ASD.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the supervising SLP and adjusting activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments.
  • Support classroom integration of communication tools and strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of sessions and student progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
  • Experience working with children, preferably with ASD or other developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with special needs.
