Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager in recruiting, training, mentoring, and overseeing dinner service personnel. Actively engage on the restaurant floor, assisting the service team, ensuring cleanliness, and interacting with guests to enhance their dining experience.
  • As an Assistant Manager, you are expected to master the restaurant service model and prioritize guest satisfaction.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the dinner menu and multi-course meal preparation, ensuring staff adhere to high service standards while facilitating communication between the dining room and kitchen.
  • Additional responsibilities include preparing daily financial reports, managing tip distributions, scheduling, ordering supplies, overseeing payroll, inventory management, and maintaining daily logs.
  • Handle all cash management tasks within the restaurant, including register operations, safe management, deposits, and daily closing procedures.
  • Service Locations: Mid Vail, Eagle's Nest, Game Creek, and Wildwood.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the restaurant industry is essential.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a restaurant setting, overseeing a team of 10-15 individuals.
  • Experience in fine dining and a solid understanding of wine and beverage service is necessary.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities are required.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is essential.
  • Must obtain valid TIPS certification upon employment (training will be provided).
  • Must be at least 18 years old to handle alcohol.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Availability to work during holidays is necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Conversational Spanish is preferred.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000. This range reflects our reasonable expectations for compensation based on various factors.
