Job Title: Clinical Program Director

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Program Director to lead our clinical programs and ensure compliance with mandated clinical interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and coordination in the execution of program activities, core measures, and clinical intervention compliance.
  • Develop and implement action plans to support compliance with measures indicators.
  • Establish and maintain short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for core measures programs.
  • Oversee the compilation and analysis of clinical program activity data.
  • Select, hire, and train/orient staff, including RN Clinical Coordinators, other clinicians, and administrative personnel.
  • Provide technical assistance, resource services, consultation, and education.
  • Participate in and conduct process improvement analysis.
  • Responsible for extending the program for new services or areas.
  • Promote an interdisciplinary approach in patient care delivery.
  • Serve as a resource for patients and their families.
  • Maintain clinical competence and advocate for the highest standards of nursing practice.
  • Serve as a clinical role model and resource to the nursing staff.
  • Serve as a professional resource to other members of the healthcare team.
  • Prepare reports and analysis associated with the institution's core measures programs.
  • Facilitate cooperation within the program between all departments, services, and units.
  • Provide timely status reports of results of quality monitoring.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hospital, departmental, and care center standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Assure readiness for Joint Commission and other agency surveys.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement programs.
  • Participate in quality management activities.
  • Participate in committee activities.
  • Be aware of and responsive to budgetary constraints.
  • Assist in the performance appraisal process of designated nursing staff.
Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Masters in Nursing or health-related field is preferred.
  • Certification in specialty area preferred.
  • Seven years minimum progressive clinical/leadership experience.
  • Current New York State nursing licensure as Registered Professional Nurse; Nurse Practitioner is preferred with associated licensure.
