We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Space Operations Lead to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the overall execution of our space systems, ensuring that our products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage budgets, schedules, work breakdown structure, and program plans to ensure successful project delivery
- Lead the execution of Agile development methods to drive efficiency in team execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation
- Develop and maintain key performance metrics (cost, schedule, risk) and ensure alignment between program level plans and team execution
- Provide technical expertise and leadership to the team, ensuring that projects are delivered to the required quality standards
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Mathematics, or related disciplines
- 5+ years of experience managing projects/programs, including managing priorities, scope, schedule, integration, and cost
- Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and Cost Account Management such as EVM
- Experience with Agile project management methodology and JIRA software
- Experience with P6 Primavera, MS Project, or similar scheduling software packages
- Corporate and subcontract financial experience
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while providing imaginative and detailed solutions to complex problems
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- MBA degree or equivalent experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
- Proficient with MS Excel capabilities such as Macros, Power Query, and Power Pivot
- Basic programming skills
- Experience in leading complex, highly integrated products
- Conversational in fluids and propulsion system technical details
