About the Role

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Senior Systems Engineer, Requirements and Verification Lead for our Lunar Permanence program, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of space travel.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Requirements, Verification, and Certification (RVC) team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing technical standards with Blue Origin and NASA technical leads
  • Establishing processes for requirement variances and managing their production, review, and closeout
  • Tracking metrics to communicate progress on technical standards and variances
  • Providing technical leadership and expertise to the team
  • Collaborating with element teams to ensure efficient and effective product development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in design and construction standards for complex systems
  • Ability to identify and vet requirement non-compliances and develop mitigation plans
  • Experience working on NASA development programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or a related field
Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with experience in:

  • Blue Origin's SLD Program, either MK1 or MK2
  • Verification programs for complex spaceflight or aviation systems
  • Requirements and V&V tracking tools, preferably using JAMA
  • Agile team operations
  • NASA design and certification standards for human spaceflight
