American Water is actively seeking a Full-Time Legal Compliance Analyst. This role is designed for individuals with strong organizational and analytical skills who are eager to advance their careers in compliance and ethics.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Compliance and Ethics Department in addressing and resolving inquiries related to the Code of Ethics.
- Conduct data analysis to evaluate participation and effectiveness of compliance initiatives, including annual training and conflict of interest disclosures.
- Assist the Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Compliance Director with data management and reporting tasks.
- Participate in investigations by collaborating with legal counsel, gathering, reviewing, and summarizing pertinent evidence.
- Generate reports based on data collected from various compliance-related activities.
- Communicate findings and status updates regarding investigations to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and editing of training materials for compliance programs.
- Assist in various compliance initiatives, including policy updates and monitoring of team communications.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required; experience in the utility sector is preferred.
- Associate's Degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience; Bachelor's Degree is highly desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and data analytics tools, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and draw relevant conclusions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across various departments.
- Demonstrated project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
This position is based in an indoor office setting with a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.
